EVA edge banding is using the melting equipment integrated with the edge sealing machine, putting the solid hot melt glue granular into the furnace with high temperature, the granular is melting into a viscous fluid, then coating evenly on the panel edge, at the end pressing the edge sealing strip with the machine for banding. Through this process will get a finished combination of cabinet panel and edge sealing strip.
EVA adhesive is currently the most common material in the market, and most custom cabinet makers are using EVA edge sealing adhesive. Its advantages are simple by processing, and economical in the cost, but the disadvantages are also relatively more, using the amount of glue will be more than other material, and it is easy to affect by the outside temperature, with the EVA adhensive will also leave obvious glue lines on the edge, so for the owner which has a high requirement, Casa Custom will suggest choosing other edge banding technique.
On the market, the hot melt adhesive has two main options: EVA and PUR. These two types of adhesives have their own advantages and disadvantages and need to be selected according to the actual needs in the use of edge sealing machines.
